INVOICE CALCULATION
Calculates the totals for taxable sales, non-taxable sales, sales tax and the
total at the end of a delivery, the software value of the delivery. This can be negative if the values of returns exceeds
sales.
The sales tax calculation supports the complexities of differing tax rates, both by tax jurisdiction and item category.
DRAFT INVOICE
The driver can print multiple draft invoices on the truck's printer before the delivery is closed. These are in normal format but are clearly identified as draft invoices. The invoice can be viewed
as well as being printed.
After the draft invoice is inspected, items can be added to the sale, returns processed, and quantities and prices adjusted.
COMPLETED INVOICE
After the delivery is completed, including the posting of cash and checks, the driver can print completed invoices on the truck's printer. The invoice can be viewed as well as being printed.
Invoice re-print is supported, but once the invoice is closed it can no longer be modified.
INVOICE HISTORY
During a delivery, the driver can print or review other invoices issued on the same trip/shift for the current customer.
At other times, the driver can select a customer, and then print or view invoices from the invoice history file. Typically about a month's worth of invoice history is kept in the hand held computer's
memory for each customer.
INVOICE NUMBERS
Each scheduled stop on the route has a pre-assigned invoice number. In addition, a pool of unassigned invoice numbers is available for off-route deliveries and for additional deliveries to scheduled
customers.
